The Shelly 50A Current Transformer is a purpose-built split-core CT clamp designed for use with the Shelly Pro EM-50 and Shelly EM Gen3 energy monitoring systems. Capable of accurately measuring electrical loads up to 50 amperes, this transformer is perfectly suited for monitoring individual circuits in residential and light commercial installations across Australia.

The split-core design allows for straightforward clamp-on installation around existing wiring without the need to disconnect or interrupt live circuits. Simply open the transformer, place it around the conductor you wish to monitor, and close it securely. This makes it significantly easier to retrofit energy monitoring into existing switchboards and distribution boards.

Once connected to a compatible Shelly energy meter, you gain access to real-time power consumption data that can be integrated into popular smart home platforms including Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. Track usage patterns across different circuits, identify energy-hungry appliances, and make informed decisions to reduce your electricity bills.

Please note that while the CT clamp itself is simple to attach, installation inside an electrical switchboard in Australia must be carried out by a licensed electrician. This current transformer is an essential accessory for anyone building a comprehensive energy monitoring system with Shelly devices.
