The Synology DiskStation DS1825neo+ is an eight-bay desktop NAS enclosure that combines the DS1825+ platform with a supplied 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC memory configuration. Its AMD Ryzen V1500B processor has four cores and eight threads at 2.2 GHz, with two memory slots supporting up to 32 GB using compatible modules. Dual 2.5GbE ports provide built-in connectivity, and two M.2 2280 NVMe slots support compatible SSD cache without using the main bays. The PCIe 3.0 slot supports selected 10GbE or 25GbE network adapters, while DX525 expansion units can extend the system to 18 drive bays. The supplied memory is non-ECC DDR4. The enclosure is diskless: compatible SATA HDDs or SSDs are sold separately. Check Synology’s current compatibility list before ordering drives, memory, expansion units or network cards.
