The Synology HAT3300-6T is a 6TB 3.5-inch hard drive for compatible Synology NAS systems used for central files, device backup, photo storage and surveillance. It uses conventional magnetic recording (CMR), a SATA 6Gb/s interface and a 5,400 rpm spindle speed, with a typical maximum sustained transfer rate of 202 MB/s. The drive is a useful middle capacity for a two- or four-bay desktop NAS, whether replacing a failed disk or building a redundant volume from new drives. It is an internal NAS drive and does not include a NAS chassis, USB enclosure or backup service. Synology’s compatibility policy depends on the exact enclosure, DSM version and firmware, and the drive is not universally supported in every Synology model. Check the current compatibility list for the intended host before purchase. Select the storage layout carefully and keep a separate backup for data that cannot be replaced.
