The Synology RackStation RS422+ is a compact four-bay 1U rackmount NAS enclosure for small offices, home labs and edge deployments. Its AMD Ryzen R1600 processor provides two cores and four threads, with a 2.6 GHz base frequency and up to 3.1 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 2 GB of DDR4 ECC memory and has two 1GbE RJ-45 ports with failover and load-balancing support. A dedicated network upgrade slot accepts the supported E10G22-T1-Mini module for 10GbE connectivity. The chassis can be installed in a 4-post rack or directly in a 2-post 19-inch rack, and its 327.5 mm depth suits space-constrained locations. This is a diskless enclosure: four compatible 3.5-inch SATA HDDs or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs are sold separately.
