Ubiquiti UniFi Protect NVR Instant with 6-Port PoE Switch

The Ubiquiti UniFi Protect NVR Instant combines a capable network video recorder with an integrated six-port PoE switch in one compact device. It is designed for small businesses, professional home security systems and sites that want reliable local recording without installing a separate recorder and camera switch. Cameras connect directly to the built-in PoE ports for power and data, reducing cable clutter and simplifying the equipment layout.

With a compatible 3.5-inch hard drive installed, the NVR Instant can record up to six cameras in 4K or up to fifteen cameras in Full HD. This capacity makes it a practical starting point for smaller UniFi Protect deployments while still providing room to expand. The integrated HDMI output supports direct connection to a monitor for live viewing and footage playback without keeping a separate computer at the recorder.

Recording, alerts, playback and remote access are managed through the UniFi Protect web and mobile applications. Footage remains under the customer's control on local storage, while authorised users can securely check cameras and review events from supported devices. The compact enclosure also makes the recorder suitable for locations where rack space is limited.

The NVR Instant requires connection to a UniFi Gateway or a Layer 3 switch for full functionality. A surveillance-rated 3.5-inch hard drive is sold separately.
