The black Ubiquiti UniFi Access Retrofit Reader is an indoor/outdoor OSDP reader for a compatible UniFi Retrofit Hub. It supports NFC cards and Apple Touch Pass, making it suitable for a retrofit design that reuses an existing cable run when that cabling is confirmed appropriate. The black finish differentiates this version from the white Retrofit Reader.
This is reader hardware only. A compatible UniFi Retrofit Hub, Access-capable UniFi Console or controller, network equipment and suitable lock and exit hardware are separate unless included in a stated bundle. Existing wiring must be assessed before installation; compatibility cannot be assumed from an older reader or cable run. Have the installer verify OSDP connections, power, mounting, cable route, door hardware and the complete egress arrangement.
