PowerShield Defender PSD1200 1200VA UPS

The PowerShield Defender PSD1200 is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply designed to protect computers, network equipment, security systems and home-office electronics from common power problems. Its 1200 VA and 720 W capacity provides battery backup during short outages and gives connected equipment time to continue operating or shut down safely. Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects low and high input voltage without continually using the battery, helping reduce wear while maintaining a steadier supply.

Six Australian outlets provide a practical connection layout. Three outlets include battery backup and surge protection, while the remaining three provide surge protection for equipment that does not require runtime during an outage. The front LCD shows useful operating information such as input or output voltage, battery capacity, load level and alarm conditions, making system status easy to check at a glance.

The PSD1200 uses two user-replaceable 12 V 7 Ah batteries and supports hot-swappable battery replacement. Typical backup time is approximately 13 minutes at 50 per cent load, although actual runtime varies with the connected equipment and battery condition. Silent fanless operation suits offices and living spaces. USB connectivity works with PowerShield NetGuard software for monitoring and controlled shutdown on supported systems.

Built-in protection covers overload, discharge, thermal events, short circuits and overcharging. Cold start, automatic restart and off-mode charging add flexibility during interruptions. The Defender PSD1200 includes a two-year warranty and is a practical choice for protecting essential small-business and residential technology.
